This problem just got worse...... I noticed there is a switch/sensor next to the oil filter which had two plugs near to it, one blue one brown. The switch body is blue, yet the brown plug from the loom was plugged in, so i swopped em and this did nothing. Giving up at this point outside in the rain i plugged the brown plug back in and the dam thing went up in smoke, melted the harness!!
I am gutted now as the brown was plugged in so i've changed nothing myself i guess there was a break in the wire.
My question to you guys is what do i do next?? if anyone can confirm which plug should be connected i'm really hoping that if the brown is left unconnected that i dont have a problem but again,,,,i know very little about what else is on this harness and suspect it could be a rate tw@t of a job...and guess the garage will say its nothing to do with there work...help pl
