got my new clutch today from miles ( cheers) a few months ago my engine went a (knockin from the top) so i bought 1 from an xsara kit car with 15k on the engine and gearbox so i asked the guy who i trusted to fit it, so engine done and clutch was ment to be done 2 (vts clutch)just before xmas the clutch went didnt think it was possible for it to go after a small amount of milage , but when i looked at the new clutch today i said jezz thats a big clutch so i put the old 1 ( ment to be the original chutch) up against the new 1 and the difference is stupid bad so what he must have done was kept the clutch for himself left mine in ( never changed it and just trew an old d turbo clutch in the box of parts ( WHAT A ROBBIN SLIMEY f*ckIN c*nt ) ill be havin a word today with the c*nt !

i wont mate he's got alot a parts belong to me ( old engine, exaust manafold, vts box) im worried now that maybe he didnt do the timing belt either Sad any way i can find out ? is there a number on the belt or anythin ?

Nope, only way to be sure is to replace it.

is there number on the 5 speed gearbox as im not a mechanic and i wouldnt know a 1.1 box to a 2.0 box LOL i was lookin at the box he said was mine and there is ( BE3) on the top of the box

IIRC they are both BE3s, but the 6 speed box will hang out of your passenger side arch for a start. Laugh

ya i know the 6 is bigger but he said he damaged the 5 speed takin it off ( broke top mount ) re welded it! he's into rallying he has a 205 gti with a gti6 engine n 5 speed box so im thinkin he may swapped the box with 1 from his car

both be3 there should be a 6 stamped in a box next to be3 was on mine anyway sticks out a fair bit too.
wtf broke top mount must of left the bracket on and stud in clown would love to watch him take it off wih them still on Doh!

he broke the 1 on the vts box and it wasnt even on the car Huh? the new engine was left up to him with the box atached

By top mount you mean the stud sticking out the top of the box it's quite thick for it to just break would of bent I'd of thought
If he broke the bracket with it off the car can't see how he'd manage that seems strange to me.

The cast alumimium boss or the webs will break before the stud does.

i had a look when i went out to the shed today and it says BE3 6 is this a six speed box or a 5 speed if its a 6 he kept my good 5 speed box ?

That would be a gti's 6 speed box as mine had the same stamped on the box - BE3 6. What a c*nt he is.
I forget where its stamped on mine if easy to get to tomorrow I'll post a picture for you to compare might even get a pic off Jbradders 5 speed box off his 1.8 peasant mobile.

to be honest i wouldnt mind if he had asked me for it there as i would of sold it cheap !there was only 15k on this engine and the 5 speed box from new but now i know he swaped them i will be PUTTIN IT IN HIS FRONT WINDOW SOME NITEWhistle

i think ill get a new timing belt kit to be safe get it done by a friend who i can trust, he's a honda man but love's the RALLYE Love

after goin for a few quiet pints ...!!! who walks in the door Shock the mechanic/robbin c*nt after he got his dutch currage he came over to me around 1.30 am lookin for 400 euro after i already paid him 400 LOL told him to go f*ck himself Whistle i asked him where my vts gearbox was and my chutch of course he denyed everythin Dry things started gettin hot by this stage so he grabbed me by the back of the head i quickly turned around hit him a good box in the mouth n pinned him 2 the wall chokin the dirty c*nt Black eye i told him he has 1 week to get my gearbox/clutch and my 400 euro back or i will take him to court Yes
