Hello people,

I am going to collect an OMP bolt in cage at the weekend and can't quite decide what colour to paint it.

My shortlist is either anthracite or white but still keep getting tempted to paint it a silly colour like flouresecent (sp) yellow Laugh

Suggestions/votes please guys Cheers

Hmm i faced this for a while but ended up doing it the same colour as the car which made the bare shell respray a whole lot easier.

depends on what look you want really. if you want it to be a tidy subtle car then just to it black, also black will never go out of date. whereas doing it in the latest craze (bright colours) may not be so cool in a couple of years time.

or theme it with the rest of the car, is there any other colours that stand out?

I agree. I think a dark colour would look better (anthracite/matt black?)

are you fitting it yourself? good luck. get some pics up whilst/when its done! Thumbs up

I know what you mean Ash, if I did it bright yellow, I would like it and then be annoyed with it after about a week Laugh

It's black as it is, so may just leave it like that. General theme to the car with bits I have added have been black, so guess it would suit Cool

Will be getting the plates welded in by someone else, then was going to give it a go fitting myself. Not looking forward to it, from what I have read/heard, it will be a mission!

Which variety of OMP cage is it?

I can lend a hand if you're stuck, or want to look at my Rallye if it's the same OMP cage (there's a couple of variants)

Cheers Simon, may have to take you up on that offer Yes

It's the same cage as the one in this thread (except Ben has added in an extra diagonal to make the X)

Simon, not collecting cage until Sunday, and car still has no MOT, and broken front suspension.

As soon as I receive the coilovers, will be getting it MOT'd then will take it to get the plates welded in.

Will be a month or so I guess before cage goes in?

Think I am going to leave it for the time being mate.

Trying to save for a mortgage, so told myself I wont be spending much more on the car for the time being.
