i have just got another gti6 and noticed its got a compression pump on it for when the car starts up he said it helps it. i got the car dirt cheap just wondered on any ideas what the problem could be and how easy off a fix. i no the head gasket has gone and i will be doing that in the week but if the compression going to be costly i will rather get another engine any info you have please pass it on would be very greatfull |

me to but im a mechanic for hgv and if the compression is down on somthing that is old then you can buy a hydrolic pump that helps turn the engine over but tbh whn i started the car it was fine bar the idle contol valve was sticking and couldnt hold a set rev but thats a minor. think the best thing to do is just whip it off and see what happens but i cant find 1 on google or the net it looks like 1 of those fag lighter pumps to blow up air beds lol |
