Does it need anything doing to keep all the fans running properly? Cos I know how complicated the fan system is and it's all linked in with the AC system.
Cheers

I'd imagine this has been covered but search Is not bringing anything up. How much of a job is it to remove? Will prob ask a garage to do it. How much are the rallye aux belts and pulleys etc? Is there much else to strip other than the compressor?Does it need anything doing to keep all the fans running properly? Cos I know how complicated the fan system is and it's all linked in with the AC system. Cheers |

It's easy, remove the pump and fit any normal XU10 non A/C belt set up, It's not just a Rallye fitment which a few people think, The engine was used in millions of Citroens and Pug's, The tensioners are quite cheap new from most motor factors________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

Miles, would the existing tensioner not work? Is it not an auto tensioner on the ph3? |

I tried a cheap fix by using the old tensioners with a slightly shorter belt to miss out the ac. Work for weeks at a time but would just snap randomly leaving me with no power steering, so just gave up trying and bought a non ac set up. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Bit tight to get your hands down between bodywork and eng ![]() You need to remove belt/air con pump/belt auto tensioner and IIRC one other roller ![]() I've just bought a new tensioner for my Rallye,£27 from local motor factors. ![]() Belt was £8.74 from Motaquip. You will then need one roller, and the adjusting screw for tensioning belt ![]() Pretty sure I've got a spare new adjusting screw in the garage I could sell ![]() ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Parts required circled![]() Number 4 is the one I've just bought from a motorfactors, much cheaper than Pug ![]() If your local motor factors can't find it just show them the picture, mine could not find it listed for a 306,but found it easily looking through pics in the catalogue! ![]() Would have thought the other roller should be available from them too ![]() ![]() ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |
