Right ive recently reverted back to my standard phase 3 slot cd player

Now the problem is it will not come on and off with the ignition, only when pressing the on/vol button manually

Easy fix i think?

Ill swap the fuse position up one.....

Fail, the radio now comes on and off whenever i switch the ignition, however seems to have dropped its permanent live, by asking for the code everytime i turn the car on Angry

All cabling is standard and hasnt been tampered with, does anyone know why its doing thisCrazy

Also very confused as to why my steering wheel remote control wont fit into the back of it ?

Any help appreciated

Dan

The lead for the stalk has the wrong connector on it. You will need a phase 3 stalk.

The other problem can be answered by a search as I recall it being asked before by Wattsy when I lent him a PU2294-A for his phase 2 and he had same problem.

try swapping the permanent live with the ignition live. one should be red one should be yellow sometimes theyve got little plugs on the wires that can be swapped easily and should only take about 5 minutes. hope this helps

Some don't have a temporary live. My six has two permanent lives.

Its a standard stereo with standard wiring, Ideally you shouldnt havnt to start cutting the loom on a standard set-up

is the head unit the correct year for your car if not peugeot may have changed the wiring slightly. and i didnt mean cut the wires generaly theres little bullet like plugs on the wires themselves. is the headunit new? if not did the original owner swap wires around some of the wiring iv seen in the past nothing surprises me anymore.

and a car with 2 permanent lives ive never heard of that before is all the wiring standard?

I presume the headunit is correct for the year but not correct for the spec (with it being a Rallye), there is no bullet connectors on standard connections, these only come on aftermarket harness's

All the standard wiring looks pretty untouched
