Hi people

After some searching into why my car's turned into a steam room, it would appear my heater matrix is knackered. Not a massive issue as I was planning on having the dash out at some point soon anyway, but it's not entirely clear which part I need. The FAQs do a good job of explaining how to change it, but not much into buying the right one.

The car is a P1 non-aircon model, so from what I've read I need the Valeo one.

Does anyone know if this is the jobby? I can't find one on GSF, I assume Peugeot will be painfully expensive so this is the best I can find.

If someone can confirm if that looks right that'd be really handy, I might not get around to fitting it for a few weeks so it'll be well outside any kind of returns period if it turns out to be wrong.

Cheers fellars.
O.

Ha, so true!

Thing is I *might* find the time to get it fitted, so I want to make sure I have it lying around in case I suddenly find myself at a loose end one weekend.

I'd found the Valeo hint, but as I've never had the misfortune of having to replace one I don't know if there is more than one or whether it's just a simple "order the Valeo" jobby.

Cheers buddy.

My phase 1 with no air-con used the valeo matrix.
Try your local motorfactors for one, then if its wrong you only have to nip it back to them rather than wait around for couriers.

It might be worth calling Carl (Mech Repairs) as my matrix died last year and he sent out the right one next day for a good price too.

Did my matrix in June on my P1 without aircon which was a Valeo unit.
If you have aircon, then you will need the Behr matrix.

I got my matrix from pug which cost around £70.
Did not wan't to chance inferior pattern parts so went to Pug as I don't want to be doing it again any time soon. Not on my car anyway LOL

£70?! Jeez, think I'll risk having to do it again thanks Wink

Right that's good then seems like it's definitely the right one. Reckon I'll be placing an order in the near future then...

ECP reckon about £37 for the rad, plus postage I assume.

For what it's worth it's not actually my birthday, evidently anyone on here who hasn't specified theirs has had it set to 31st Dec.

Thanks anyway though, that's much appreciated.

I thought the preset date was something else but guess not.
Ah well, Happy Birthday to all the lazy bastids on the forum then LOL and a Happy new year Thumbs up

£37 is a good price assuming it has not rotted away in 6 months time Smile

Does anyone even sell pattern ones?

My motorfactor matrix was £40, it had valeo written on the end tanks, came in a valeo box and was identical to the original. The behr one they had was even cheaper and was also a genuine behr item.

Mine's an aircon'd p1 so the only help I could suggest would be to not use the type of matrix I used Erm?

Aftermarket? It wasn't a factory fit option?
