Just wondering if anybody has any information on timing for a standard gti6 inlet cam?
Id expect it to be about 15 BTDC and 50 ABDC?
cheers

I've asked this before and no-one seems to know. From checking a few now I'd say it's somewhere around 0.55 mm lift at TDC working with the standard timing holes. Not sure of the BTDC and ABDC though as ive only ever used the lift at tdc method when doing cam timing.________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |

nope, its for a uni project investigating inlet manifold design on forced induction applications. Basically could you leave the inlet valve open much much longer as you are forcing the air in? Need the inlet timing so i can figure the compression pressures at the point that the valve closes. ________________________________________ 309 GTi6-T |

I'd assume so to a degree, PeterT's cam regrinds provide longer duration instead of higher lift. Maybe worth sending him an email?PeterT website clickey Some useful info on his site about the 4RS engine too ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |
