My car is lowered on the font at the moment, but was thinking of putting my car back to standerd , but if I put standerd springs back on and put updated shocks front and back would it make the handling just as good as if I had it lowered all round or would it be worse???________________________________________ Team Astor |

I have always found cars handle better at standard height with uprated shocks etc. Leave it as the height it should be, lowering cars just throws the geometry out. How low are you talking about going? ________________________________________ 205 GTI6- Rebuilt engine, lightened flywheel, lightened pulley, 307 hdi brakes, Koni struts on gravel spec springs, 22mm TB's, 24mm ARB, Roll cage, Citreon ZX rear dampers, SL434's, Xsara box, Quickrack, Pipercross enclosed induction kit.Private work, not a prob |

Crack on You have 'give' in your suspension for a reason, not having much will throw you off the road from hitting teh bumpstops. ________________________________________ 205 GTI6- Rebuilt engine, lightened flywheel, lightened pulley, 307 hdi brakes, Koni struts on gravel spec springs, 22mm TB's, 24mm ARB, Roll cage, Citreon ZX rear dampers, SL434's, Xsara box, Quickrack, Pipercross enclosed induction kit.Private work, not a prob |

I'm running Bilstein B8 Dampers (the yellow ones) along with Eibach 30mm springs and the rear is lowered to suit. I definately recommend it as a good fast road set up. I've found that I now get less body roll, better damping and still have enough suspension travel to cope with our bumpy roads ________________________________________ High Boost Supercharged 306 GTI6Alfa 147 GTA |
