have a small issue but its one of them that really get to you! Smile

I have a ph2 car with ph3 headlights and the issue is the dipped beam bulbs seem to keep moving out of they're slot so when driving at night one minute i have two lights the next i have only one or even sometimes none an end driving sidelights n fogs! Angry its doing my head in now and would imagine doing people who i'm following or coming towards me heads in to lol!

Has anyone had this before?

Also what bulbs would you recommend?

Are you saying that the bulbs keep sliding back out of the reflector?

If so they should be held in with a metal spring clip to stop them falling out:

No 3 in this pic (not a 306):

thats what i'm saying and they are held in by the spring clips! I might see if i can bend the clips a little bit as they do seem a little loose like they're not doing they're job!

Is it possible to fit the wrong bulbs, i.e. H4's instead of H7's?? Confused

it has H7's in it but something just doesn't seem quite right about the fitting! Maybe the light units are knackered or been bodged?

Are both the dipped and high beam bulbs H7's?

Cus the high beam bulbs are blue and don't really make anythin brighter!

right this problem is really bugging me now an has got slightly worse!

So checking it out today i had solved the bulbs moving by bending the pins a little which kept the bulbs in place but now i have a problem i might of missed before, the driver side light wont work on dipped beam and the pins on the back of the bulb had broke away the wires are burnt and the plastic cover on the terminals has melted! The passenger side dipped works but i noticed it smoking and was very hot! I am very puzzled will it be a short some where? Where should i start? I'm thinking of putting it back to standard ph2 headlights would that help?

What bulbs do you have fitted? It sounds like they're drawing too much current and melting the wiring and connectors.

I'd take the lights out and have a good look at them to see what the problem is.

does any one have an idea on this? Why would the wires get hot?
