Is there a guide anywhere on removing the aircon system?

I no longer have the original Radiator fans ( I have fitted a simpiler system from a Citroen ZX )

So I now dont have the system where the Fans will spin slowly if air con is on etc. and the system is out of gas..

If it frees up a couple of HP and makes the car lighter then i'll happily ditch the system

Can i just remove the air con rad and leave the pipes exposed?

How difficult is it removing the compressor (i know physically, its very easy) but how do i go about getting a belt that fits etc?

Thanks in advance

Alan
