I have been offered a pair of F1 tyres for £30 in very good nick. I currently run 195/45/16 and these tyres are 205/45/16.

What difference does the 10mm make? Is it a bad idea to put them on?

A 205 45 is closest you'll get at 16" to the original tyre's circumference, that little bit of extra sidewall takes away some of the harshness you tend to get on 195 45.

205's will sit quite nicely on a 7" wide rim too.

You always there to help me with my car problems! Should just give me your phone number LOL

Would it matter running 195 on the back 205 on the front? Or visa versa?

I don't think it matters much but you will get an advisory on it, and it may cause the ABS to kick in a little earlier.

Never tried it on an ABS car though LOL
