On my track rallye I've removed the steering lock and ignition switch and an replacing it with a toggle switch.
Of the four wires used on the original barrel I have,

.power
.stage 1
.stage 2 (ign)
.start

So, as stage 1 disconnects when ign is on and it doesn't do anything anyway, is it ok to not use it and just have ignition and start? Ta
