Erm? Learn to f*cking read, he's asking how to put one on Laugh This hasn't been covered a million times, but yes they just push on.

The easiest way to remove it is to twist it side to side about 5 times then it comes off very easily Razz

To reserect an old post...

Im in the process of fitting a new (Richbrook) gear knob. Got the old one off and was suprised to find cross shaped shaft rather than cylindrical.

How have people retro fitted knobs which are designed to 'grub screw' onto a round shaft??

Just try installing it in the normal way, but with the grub screw pointing at one of the indentations if the graphic on top is pointing the right way. Should work as long as the grub screw isn't too short. It will stop lateral movement too.
