Hi im looking at getting the kad top mounts on ebay to use with my Avo's.
What is the thread pattern of the top nut as kad offer these sizes:
M12 x 1.25/1.2/1.75
M14 x 1.5/1.75/2.0

I think the thread is M12 x 1.25 pitch but im not 100% sure can someone confirm this?

Iv looked on rally design and compbreak for the sleeved nuts so that i wont need to have the shock turned down in a lathe so i have a decent amount of thread for the nut, but i havent looked into top hats, didnt realise i would need different ones?

Which ones have you found on ebay? When I looked, only KAD ones I found were for a 205 or 309, will these fit the 306?

like i said compbrake sell sleeved nuts that have tread in the sleeved part, the sleeve part allows more thread to bite to, you will only have half or one thread sticking out the top of the nut but the sleeved part allows more thread bite area compared to the standard nut. As they are not pillowed top mounts i should be able to use the original top hats supplied with the coilovers?

Thats a bad way to do it as you are relying on the weak locating collar of the nut to do all the retention of the rod on rebound. One thread into the thick part of the nut just is'nt enough. you will need to modify the rods, or find a thinner top mount bearing so you can get more of the nut doing it's job. I had thew same problem mating my Gaz Golds to my Compbrake top mounts. Ended up having the shoulder on the rods turned down by another 10mm.

The tophats will be fine, the KAD mounts come with the tophats, you just need to specify what thread you want as per the op's question.

A couple of mods to the strut tops for the KAD adjustable top mounts

Cool
