at what temperature should the fan kick in to cool down the engine? Also the pipe that comes from the radiator by the cap, i take it that it is some sort of overflow pipe an is it bad when it gets hot an starts to drip water out of this pipe?________________________________________ now a very happy an proud GTi6 owner!TEAM: Blaze phase 2 TEAM: Off the road for now Nimrods going up 4 sale will be available in the next week! I believe stage one comes on about 92'C and then the stage 2 fan kicks in about 97'c? Don't quote me and I'm sure someone will be along tomorrow to tell me I'm talking shite! |

IIRC the fans kick into their low speed setting at 97 degrees, and their high speed setting at 107. A search should bring it up though... |

coolio chaps thanks! Is it normal for water to drip out of the rubber pipe that comes off the radiator just by the radiator cap? This has only happened once to my knowledge and when the temperature was over 90 ??? ________________________________________ now a very happy an proud GTi6 owner!TEAM: Blaze phase 2 TEAM: Off the road for now Nimrods going up 4 sale will be available in the next week! Well it's an overflow pipe so as long as it's not doing it constantly then should be OK. I guess there was a little too much liquid in the cooling system at that point. |
