The most critical thing is a genuine Peugeot oil filter.Peugeot's own 10W/40 Total Quartz 7000 is what i've used for the last 5 years. Must be doing something right for my engine. ![]() For a little more, iirc you can get 5W/40 Quartz 9000 I believe. ________________________________________ I'm Si btw![]() Night Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper ![]() |

Given your power I'd look at a fully synth oil. The most important thing is to get a diesel engine oil as the sulphur in diesel can degrade engine oil. Echoing above a genuine oil filter is a must. ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

Just bought a pack of 10 as the HDi needs an oil change, the Rallye will, and my brothers HDi! ________________________________________ I'm Si btw![]() Night Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper ![]() |

Total quartz is a good bet though. ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

i love XUD________________________________________ Rich E wrote: With the 306 Rallye the goal wasn't to make a purer or more focussed car. It was to make a cheaper car, and then cynically use Peugeot's motorsport heritage to make it appeal to enthusiasts. |

i always go overkill, so i would recommend the 5w 40 9000 stuff. pugs stds were prob for ideal conditions and reg use so on older engines it prob a good idea to go over spec a bit. |
