Hi all! problem is that when the car is running at idle it overheats and blows the coolant out of the overflow! pressure test was all ok no leaks or build ups, told head gasket was not the issue and just replaced the thermometer. Was told its not the water pump as everything travels smoothly! fan comes on when it starts to heat but then switches off and doesnt come back on!!! the other fan is not working as the aircon isnt (my next task to sort!) other than that no other engine issues!!!! any help would be greatly appreciated!!!________________________________________ Never argue with an idiot because they will bring you down to their level and beat you every time with experience! |

Have you tried a new rad cap as sometimes the centre seal perishes and causes the sytems you have.Regards the fans, the should both work regardless if the zircon works or not. Check the condition of the radiator too. Mine was shot when I got it a few months back and caused it to overheat. |

Don't think so. Apparently they can just be down to corrosion. So take it out, give the metal pins a clean with a wire brush and wd 40 it and put it back. But tbh I doubt there sold for much second hand so maybe better to just buy a known working one. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |
