my car will not start!

ihave transplanted a 1998 phase 2 gti6 engine into a 2002 1.4 estate all has gone well apart from it will not START!!!!!! i have fitted the whole engine bay loom and engine wiring loom the engine was running with no problems in the old car and had been doing so for 6 months.
I have the pump priming when turning on the ignition, and power to the injectors and coils but no spark or injection pulse i think that there might be a problem with the crank sensor or has the ecu locked its self (it was working befor with the key halo unpluged in the doner car and i tried everything to make sure the ecu would not lock, disconected the batery ect ect conected the halo with the key on and off ect ect locked and un locked the car ect ect)
anyone got any view's on what could be causing the problem? every thing else on the car appears to be working correctly...

I'd first look at sourcing a permanently unlocked ECU to eliminate that.

Locked ECU Yes

Can you unlock it again? Do you still have the donor car?
