It's being prepared, it was probably in the scouts Have you done anything funky with the radio wiring that could be shorting the ignition live to the constant live? There's a short between the two somewhere by the sound of things. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Mine does this too. Has done it ever since my ECU died and had an unlocked one as a replacement.Doesnt seem to of caused me any problems, but still something that concerns me. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

mine does this too, many a time after I've taken the key out of the ignition and heard it prime as I get out.Definitely does this independent of the ignition electrics |

Well my thinking is that its not releasing fuel outside of the vehicle, only pressurising the system. Its not on constantly. So I've left it! |

Man I've got to get round to some of your houses and tap into some of fuel lines you're keeping primed for me! I'm imagining these pumps priming 24 hours a day and big comedy cartoon bulging pipes everywhere, I do hope I'm not disappointed. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

I did think that when it primes it just gets pressure up to spec?If it was pumping fuel to the engine, would I not get a big backfire on starting the car if there was excess fuel? ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Correct, it'll only build up pressure to the injectors, which can't spray it into the engine without the ECU doing its thing. I suspect if it just filled your engine with petrol you'd know about it when the first spark occurred ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

they have such things as fuel pressure regulators, and fuel return lines.if its constantly doing so then check that the fuep pump relay is not damaged. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I had this problem on mine a while back along with The engine running/reving on its own with the keys out of the ignition! took it to PUG They diagnosed it to be the double relay, Or at least thats what they told me. Was such a relief when it was sorted, did get a bit annoying after a while ________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |

I've had this problem since owning the car. Every so often, the car will be parked and locked, and I'll hear it prime. No idea how much it does it when I'm not there, but it seems to stop after the car hasn't been driven for a while. It didn't seem to be doing any harm, so I left it rather than chasing another electrical gremlin! |

Is it not working as a fuel cut off? My pump goes through the motions of priming just as the car is turned off________________________________________ Red Rallye - Rolling "restoration"Wishbone Polybushes available |
