BASICALLY, I NEED TO DO AN ECU RESET BUT MY REMOTE KEYS DO NOT WORK, MEANING I CANNOT LOCK AND UNLOCK THE CAR WITH THE PLIP AFTER RE-CONNECTING THE BATTERY WHEN THE LIGHTS FLASH ETC.

I WAS TOLD THAT TO BYPASS THIS, TURN KEY TO POSITION TWO IN THE IGNITION, THEN RECONNECT THE BATTERY AND IN DOING SO IT WILL BYPASS THE PROBLEM.

IS THERE ANY TRUTH IN THIS AS IT IS PANICKING ME THAT I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE I'M TRYING TO IMITATE THE POLICE?

NO NEED TO SHOUT,

but can you not use the key like an actual key, and unlock the car?

unplug battery, leave for 10 mins, re attach battery, unlock car with the key (or just dont lock it?) turn key to position 2, lights will be flashing etc hold down the alarm button on the steering collum itself for a few seconds until you hear it click/ multiple times and jobs a good'un
