Running at the mo seems to have a flat spot from about 3 maybe 3.5k to abot 4 to 4.5k then its alive again, stopped and tried unplugging the lambda seemed to make no difference, so any one else had this and was it lamba related, any other ideas.

On WOT or part throttle? Lambda makes no odds on WOT.

Coolant temp sensor
Throttle Postition Sensor
Cam timing

and wide open throttle,

just seems a bit flat,

is the cam timing hard to adjust or do you need new pulleys, or just adjust them on the movement they have?

I just removed the cat as i thought this would not be helping.

could be just how they are its about 3 years since i last drove a git6.

i think about coolant temp, i will swap this and see as i have a spare.

bo***cks are they gutless, same was often said of the MI16's, its just that they go mental above 4k.

timing is easy to check, firstly you need to make 100% sure that the bottom pulley has not slipped, the keyway is meant to be 70 degrees from the locking pin hole, you cna move them a fair amount as standard.

one thing to bear in mind, that IIRC you have a restrictive exhaust manifold fitted, this may well cause the engine to have different characteristics to the original engine+manifold combo.

Yea thats true, i think it is prob ok but im used to a v6 and a 2.0 turbo so it feels a little slower.

I will check timing though.

However unforunately it looks like the head gasket is going so i will have a bash at adjusting the inlet timing then.
