For some reason the boot button has got stuck in. Anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Pushed the button in and opened the boot, closed it again and didn't register it hadn't latched until I got home.
Sprayed the button with GT85 penetrating lube, figured closing the boot would engage the latch, and now can't open the boot. The button shifts a bit when activating the C/L, but won't come out.
Any advice much appreciated!

Mine used to do this.

I just used to smack the Lion with the palm of my hand and it would pop back out! LOL

Mine does this too.

I usually manage to get it out by putting the key in and turning a little whilst pulling.

Liberal spray with WD40 keeps mine moving for a few weeks.
