Urgh one thing after another..

Anyway, was driving around yesterday and noticed while sat in traffic the brake pedal slowly go flat to the floor. Happened all of a sudden, initial brake pressure is there but after a second or two the pressure releases.

Likely suspect before I go stripping the car down? Thinking it's a flexi pipe has a pin hole and brake fluid is p*ssing out, i don't think the solid pipes would let go in such a way.. would they?

Also if it IS a flexi pipe issue, what size do I need and what fittings so i can pick some up from a 'factor this afternoon?

the fittings are 10 x 1,
if you mean for the metal pipes you will need a flare tool aswell

i can have a pair of braided lines with you for the weekend for not much more than the rubber ones cost.

That's a nice thought swampy. Just a shame it turns out it's the copper line that's popped, must have been corroded or something...

Hardly a shame; A copper brake line won't cost much.

Hmm when the black stuff wore off the pipes they looked copper coloured to me..?

Regardless of that, the biggest c*nt is going to be trying to bleed the brakes seen as the rear callipers have no bleed nipples Doh
