been asked millions of time but cant find the answer for my question, if i get a full brembo set up including the carrier off the 406 what does it need doing to fit? do i need to make an adaptor? or is that just for under certain wheels? and if so would you kindly list the wheels they will fit straight under with no mods please, thanks chris

The complete 406 setup doesn't fit directly onto the 306.

The closest you can get is to use 288mm Citroen Xantia discs with the 406 calipers. This will work with a select few 15" alloys (Compomotive CXR's for example) and with most alloys that are 16" and above. The caliper to wheel spoke clearance is the issue.

I believe Ash can still supply a 330mm kit for the 406 calipers that uses adaptors and custom bells to achieve compatibility with almost every 17" wheel or bigger.

Hi guys. Only one question before I'll order my g88, what disc type are better for the brembos, xantia 288 discs or 206gti180 discs? I'll think about the offset of disc inside the caliper what disc are good centered.
Thankyou

180 disc is too thin and too small a diameter

ive seen gti6 discs used with brembos on a 106 Yes was at ace cafe , had no reported problems.
theres always the option of tracing the shape of the brake pad and making a steel 3mm+ shim to go on back of pad?

Will they fit under cyclones with a spacer or not, is it just the Wilwoods which will?

Only if you space them out enough. From memory they'd need to come out around 20mm and that creates issues with fouling the wheel arch.

Ballsack Sad

Had hoped to use those instead of Wilwoods which work out quite expensive.

Take the wheels off the Xsara. They'll fit directly with Ash's 310mm Renault Brembo kit too.

Then flog the cyclones and find some standard VTS wheels off eBay for the Xsara.

Yeah, I was hoping to keep the Cyclones for the road and buy some aftermarket 15" wheels that I could use for track as the tyres tend to be a lot cheaper in 195/50/15.

Doesn't look like its going to happen though!

i dont see much point in running gti6 discs when you could run the xantia v6 discs what are bigger and thicker. only problem i have with my brembos running 288mm discs is at low speeds they do squeel what alot of people on here will tell yo exactley the same. i believe if you go for ash's kit they dont with the clio rs calipers. my mate is running brembos on his 106 gti with cyclones on and has had to space the wheels 20mm, not something i would do but he is looking for new wheels now

hi guys, thought i may aswell ask my question on this thread rather than starting a new oneWhistle
is there a lighter disc that can be used on the brembo caliper as the xantia ones are very heavy (but don't want to compromise stopping power) cheers.
it is for a 205

Not without going for the pricey (but very good) alloy bell ones that (Ash?) makes up.

Extremely good, very light, but about £200 if I remember correctly. Someone will be along shortly to give you a more useful answer; I'm vague but up early Smile
