This is for the smog mobile again.

2 years ago it had new bushes by the previous owner. Recently I noticed that when coming to a standstill it felt like the braking components were 'loose'. To my horror, the bushes are separating from their metal housing (only 30k on them too!). When I bought the car the bushes looked fine!

I never remember my GTi-6 items being that bad (they were 7 years old and bar two sets of balljoints they were long lived and original.

Whilst I shelled out for Genuine arms on the GTi-6 I'd rather not on this car LOL.

So my question to you is which arms/bushes are a safe bet to use and will save me mucking about with the suspension in the future without costing as much as the Pug items? I guess I should be ok with either the Motaquip or Delphi arms or will I be changing them soon enough?

I see ECP no longer seem to sell Lemforder arms. The last set this 306 saw (P Bushes) came from GSF IIRC.

Motaquip are damned cheap, under £20 per arm Smile

they should be of reasonabl e quality, often of the same manufacture if not spec as the o.e parts Smile

Motaquip bushes I've used on my ZX without issue, though have only done a few k with it, my brother's GSF Vetech P-bushes are starting to go after about a year or so, have some Meyle Heavy Duty bushes to try on it now.

you can get o.e P-bushes which will save you a considerable amount if you don't mind some time in the garage to save buying the complete wishbone.

I'll see if I can try another dealer for the P Bushes (to see if I can buy them seperately).

The Meyle ones I guess is what Kris is selling? Do they look much harder than stock items?

Otherwise, the Motaquip arms look to be a good bet atm Smile.
