Hi wasn't sure where to post this so decided on engines. My stop light flashes some time. It can flash one day then not flash again for 3 weeks. I have replaced the brown sensor and still happens. Next thing is Bitron fan unit is this right? But when i start the car it can be a bit slow to start. It took me between 10 to 15 seconds to start this morning then the stop light started to flash. The stop light seems to only flash when the car is lazy to start. I assume that these two are linked and not just coincidence any help would be great thanks. I have also done a bit of research on this but couldn't see anybody saying there car was slow to start cheers adam________________________________________ MUFC THE RELIGION!! |

Both times i had the pump light flash up on my 1st 6 about 2 weeks later it had catastrophic engine failure! 1st the head gasket went then a slippy cambelt! ↲More likely its a bad earth or something though seems as its getting colder and the airs getting damper. Hope this helps. ↲ That was meant to say STOP light not pump light. Dammed predictive text! ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

I had a cambelt water pump and full service done when I bought it and there's no sings of my headgasket going. Think I should just change the bitron unit? ________________________________________ MUFC THE RELIGION!! |

ronnie27 wrote: I'd say check your earths 1st as it costs nothing. Look in the faq section for some help there. As for the bitron unit, you sure its shagged? Have you tried unplugging the brown sensor and seeing what the fans do? If the unit is working correctly, when its unplugged both fans will spin on slow speed then after a couple of seconds will spin up to max speed. If they do that i wouldnt bother changing the unit as i doubt it would be the problem. Give it a go and see what the fans do mate. ↲I had a cambelt water pump and full service done when I bought it and there's no sings of my headgasket going. Think I should just change the bitron unit? As for the issues i had with mine, i think the stop light was not connected to them and was simply a bad earth as it was asap weather then. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |
