you could disconnect the coil packs, put the fuel line in a bowl and turn it over til its empty

Hammer a screw driver into the tank.

You could take the pump out and syphon it out but it takes ages.

Depends if you want the tank kept useable? Tbh, if your breaking the car its not that much hassle to drop the tank and empty it from the filler neck.

Be warned though when you tip the tank up, the fuel can and most probably will go everywere! LOL

Dont forget this tank has potentially 60L of fuel in it, i think ive found a method on how to make a homemade syphon

2L bottle

drill hole in cap and wedge pipe in the top, tape it up so it seals

put the pipe in tank at fuel pump point

squeeze bottle then let go, gravity should do the rest

do that 30 times, each time connecting a funnel onto my rallye LOL

Don't make a seal on the pipe. As the fuel displaces the air in the bottle it will make the pressure go up.

Why not just put the fuel pipe in your container and put 12v straight across the pump?

i syphoned it, you wont get it all, but the rest will remain in the tank until you remove it then you can just turn the tank on its side and empty the rest into the bottle.

I did swallow a fair bit of fuel/fumes as it took me several go's, this gave me a headache and very smelly burps.

you mean at the top of the pump or the top of the tank? when i got a pump from the scrappy it was full of fuel, i think they just retain it in the outer casing for some reason. try dipping a stick in the hole where the pump was to get some idea of how much is in. those tanks are hard enough to manouvre with 5 litres in never mind 50.

Just park it up near a travellers site for a couple of hours and let nature take it's course. Wink
