Which part do I need to get to do this? I have tried searching, and I could not find anything with the standard head unit (what make is it?) thanks for any help!

I have a completely standard stereo in my 6 with the clarion 6 cd auto changer, and I understand that it is possible to replace the cd changer with an iPod cable, so I can change tracks on my ipod with the stalk, and charge my iPod while connected. Which part do I need to get to do this? I have tried searching, and I could not find anything with the standard head unit (what make is it?) thanks for any help! ________________________________________ 306 GTI-6 Now sold |

To the standard you will only be able to use a tape adapter or FM transmitter. Alpine and pretty much every other strero manufacturer makes ipod compatible head units now/ ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

So there is nothing that exists that plugs into the headunit instead of the cd autochanger that can then connect to an iPod?________________________________________ 306 GTI-6 Now sold |

I doubt it. An alpine stereo that does is peanuts now though, especially second hand. You can even plumb them in to work with the steering wheel stalk.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |
