This is a question about my 1.9 D Turbo,

it kicks out a worrying amount of white smoke on cold starts, aswell as running very lumpy for about 10-15 seconds, ive checked the usual Headgasket clues but the Oil is not contaminated and theres no gasses in the water.

My thoughts were that it could be condensation in the exhaust but im not sure..

Any ideas?

You may have a glow plug or two down, this means when the car starts from cold a couple of cylinders won't be firing properly and cause you the smoke, unburnt diesel.

could be worn out injectors, their service life is circa 60k, of course they'll continue to work well past this but will b nowhere near their optimum.
