Hi guys, i've been getting a strange noise underneath under acceleration, it comes from the front central/gearbox side, I think the clutch & box are all good, my suspicion is that it's very worn gear linkage's because when i accelerate there's a rattley noise, if I hold the gearstick hard in gear the noise stops. Anyway that's my theory, anyone else got any ideas? Cheers guys

Do you have standard ones or uprated as standards have rubber to reduce noise. I had uprated and it rattled badly at certain revs

there was a rattling out of mine a while back, i found there was a little kind of steel shield on top of one of the linkages towards the exhaust, im guessing to stop the heat melting the rubber, but it clipped off and i squeez'ed the clip with a pliers and put it back on and has been fine since!

I have experienced the same rattly noise. Most of it was removed by taking off your solid gear linkages packing them with copper grease and then refitting them.

That lasts about 6 months, then you need to redo it. I've also thought about putting something around the rods like for example a big elastic band which will stop the rattle... but then that would melt as it gets bloody hot around there...
