The chances are that it will need another thermostat. Ensure you get it with a new seal and that it is fitted correctly.Although (including me) will live (well, I lived with it) with the temps going like so. ________________________________________ Ex Owner of 2000 Phase 3 306 GTi 6 China Blue - You shall be missed1974 Triumph Stag 1989 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 2003 Alfa Romeo 147 JTD Lusso 2005 Mondeo Ghia X 3.0 Estate LPG |

Mine's the same. Just rebuilt the top end and fitted a new thermostat and radiator. On dual carriageway it sits just below 80 and round town goes up to just under 90 in traffic. |

Completely normal if you're moving at a constant speed and it isn't mid July in Spain! |

I had a mk4 astra Sri before which would pretty much sit at 90! I thought it would be normal, just thought I would double check! |

Just jumping on the band wagon here. You don't need a new thermostat, it's normal temp. Just reiterating, it will hit 90+ sat in traffic or the drive through MacDonalds, which is when the fans will turn on and bring it back down ________________________________________ Racing driver, fighter pilot, astronaut, compulsive liar. |
