Recently bought a ph1 gti6 on the cheap as it was a non runner due to coil pack sorted this put now sparkys nd battery fired up straight away but was giving off blue smoke.he had over filled it with oil now after oil change still smells like its burning and still blue smoke but not as bad also on start up hear a weird noise when u rev it like oil or petrol swooshing about ne help would be much appreciated thanks |

if he put a load too much oil in, it could be after going into the exhaust and will take a bit of driving to burn out completely, have you drove it much?________________________________________ IF YOU CAN READ THIS IM STILL IN 5TH!!! |

I havent had a chance yet to give it a good run bought as a project so havent got it insured yet .paid 350 for it and its in stunning condition for a ph1.do you have ne idea bout the weird noise one you rev a little like oil or petrol whoosing about thanks for reply |

What coolant needs bleeding m8 im hopeless with sertain things another thing aswell after oil change oil pressure gauge was goin up then went back down then just repeated goin up a notch then dropped a bit kept doin this and heard like a relay ticking thanks for ne replys |

The oil pressure gauge at the bottom of the speedo it goes up a notch then drops and keeps doin it over and over |

Ah sorry I guess phase 1s have them and phase 2/3 don't. My rallye didn't!Could be a sender or wiring fault, or could the be the gauge itself is shagged ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
