Just to clear things up, iv just put these in my car with no problems what so all. i timed them up on standard marks and everything is fine, it feels a bit more responsive and sounds a lot nicer, i will be going for the remap soon so i will update this thread with the results, feel free to add to this thread about cam options as there are a lot of mixed reviews on cams, maybe if some other people add there experience's with pt81's and piper cams this thread could be a sticky, ________________________________________ if i dont see you in the mattress il see you in the spring |

its in at standard timing for now, it will be MOT'd in a week or two though, and I'll check the timing with a dial gauge when I drag it out and get it ready.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I don't think you'll be able to time The Newman 264s to there full potential with standard pistons to be honest. I ran forged pistons with mine. ________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |

you can just about, they have less lift @ TDC than PeterT's Phase 2 regrind, though not if the head has been skimmed.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
