Hey Guys,

My engine idle is too high when the engine is getting hotter.
When it's cold, the idle is spot on.
However if I drive it, the idle goes up... (like 2000 rpm)

I thought of the ICV but normally when that's broken it should stall. Didn't see much about high idle when they are broken?

Hope someone can help me as it's pretty embarrasing at junctions Smile

Can cause high idle Wink

It just depends where abouts the piston in the valve is.

Had this problem on my 309 Gti I fitted a Gti6 lump in,turned out with that I had a permanent live missing from the big relay behind the ECU,so I was getting no voltage to the ICVWhistle

Take the plug off the ICV and check you got voltage to it before replacing ICV,if theres no voltage there it could be ECU/relay problemCrazy

Hey coskev,

That's exactly what happened here... I fitted it in my 205 and forgot 1 live...

On my gti6 conversion it was only 1 live, this loom had 2 lives...

Thanks for replying but I went on a measuring spree and found it already.
Just thought I'd post the feedback Smile
