Is this a dash out job? Or is there an easier way?

You can struggle if you want, but i took the dash out and did the heater matrix at same time.

Engine has to move forward a serious amount aswell.

ideally engine off the mount and rock it forward but it's a nightmare to be honest. it's a simple job but hampered by a billion things in the way. i did my servo gasket and all sorts while i had it out and rebuilt it

Heaters may work fine, but if the matrix hasnt been changed and it goes the week after, you will be well p*ssed you didnt do it, for sake of £40 i'd do it.
