Bought this Goodwood GTi recently for the grand sum of £400 Big grin so thought i'd start a project thread (some may of allready seen it on the 309 forum) as im planing on putting a GTi 6 Engine in it from my 306

good bits

a massive folder full of receipts for thousands apon thosands of pounds
Mi16 engine conversion (allthough this will be replaced)
spoox silicone hose complete set of pipes
refurbed Goodwood alloys without a mark on them
sills are solid (have been welded in the past with receipts from a body shop)
wilwood 4 pot brakes
sparco strut brace
recent respray of the whole car
all silver inserts are mint
leather seats are immaculate
limited slip diff (quaffie)
coilovers
rebuilt Mi16 gearbox with some GTi 6 box ratios
a boot full of spares inc spare mi16 head, engine spares etc etc
brand new radiator
battery proffessionally relocated to boot (more room up front)
cat 1 cobra alarm
delocked on the front doors

bad bits

missing the goodwood badge off the drivers door
cracks in wooden steering wheel
driving lamps and fog lights will need replacing
some tit keyed the o/s/r ¾ panel Angry:

anyway enough yapping

pics

pic of the dash, got some stuff to put back in but it looks worse than it is, cos kev is sorting me some new dials as it currently has yellow lockwood ones which i really dont like

heres the pics of the steering wheel with the cracks, still waiting on a company to get back to me about supplying a new one (been 2 months now though) Roll eyes:

wont be using the surround it came with as its broken above the dials (probably when it was taken out)

its ok though i have another (borat style) LOL:

there really is hardly a mark on the paintwork apart where some c*nt keyed the rear ¾ panel, ive spoken to the guy who runs the motor club at work and he said he'll get rid of it no problems for a crate of beer Big grin

i'll need four new fog / driving lamps for the front as these are cracked and generally cr*p

i'll be using my 306 GTi 6 as a donor for the Goodwood, as its got a known good engine which has been regularly serviced, had a recent cambelt, tensioners, waterpump fitted and is not a tapper!!!!!!

also bought a runaround for the time being as the 306 was my daily driver, got a 309 1.9d, bit of a sh*t box but i like it

heres the GTi 6

got the engine out after having a fight with pretty much every bolt on the passenger side

also got this through the post the other day, baker bm silicone hose kit and thermostat adaptor (cheers stew)

one pic showing the goodwood the donor and the workhorse B-)

anyway got most of the silicone hoses off the Goodwood Mi16 engine (i'll get them sold to pay for more shiney bits) took the exhaust manifold off which will be sent to miles to be re-angled as soon as he gets back to me, loosened all the nuts off underneath ready for when i finally get the front wheels off Smile) and ordered a plug and play loom from spiky (cheers kev for putting miles and spikys names forward) Wink

decided i'm going to freshen up the front suspension components, wishbones, trackrods, droplinks etc as they are looking a bit tired and very shitty

more pis too Cool

hoses off

and GTi 6 Manifold ready to be sent off

will update as soon as ive done more (sooner rather than later) Wink
