Hi guys,

Have developed a problem with the front wipers after replacing the heater matrix and looking for idea's really.

Obviously I had the stalks and the whole wiper mechanism out when doing the matrix so don't think it's a Coincidence.

When I press down on the stalk for the single sweep, the wiper arm on the screen will stop as soon as I release the wiper stalk.

Normal speed setting works fine, but when switching to high speed, the wiper will stop wherever it is on the screen.

When using the window washer, the wipers do the 3 or 4 sweep cycle fine, but the wiper will come to rest mid screen instead of returning to the rest position.

I have cleaned the pins on the wiper motor just in case but I think it may be a wiring issue or relay problem as a result from removing the dash.

I have a spare blue relay but feels near impossible to get to the old one that sits behind the fuse box.

Does anyone know if the fuse box just pops off the clips to improve access to the relay? Unsure

Never had problem with wipers before the dash came out so I would susspect that the wiper motor is still good.

Being a phase 1, the wipers don't have the rain sensor on the screen.

Any help or advise would be great guys Smile

I am not ruling the motor out, but it was all fine before I removed it from the car and it was stored safely until refitted.
It would have to be a sheer coincidence that the motor has failed and more likely to be a wiring issue I would have thought ???

Will do George, although jumped in the car tonight after work and the wipers are now working perfectly fine apart from the fastest speed which does not work and stops the wipers Crazy
