Can the vss be changed without removuing the shaft?

on my 205 it cant, so wondering if the gti6 is different?

yes it can on your 205, yes you can on a gti6 box, its the same arrangement.

shaft does have to come out if you want to change the sprocket around the diff though.

ah cool, think i may have confused my self then, as i remember i changed my vss on 205 and also fitted new sprocket.
