Should i,

A. Hit it
B. Twist it

Any help would be appriciated

Thanks

the bezel on the end seizes in to the caliper

Combination of all three. I cut off the majority of the cable with a hacksaw, then proceeded to smack the rest with a variety of hammers/punches/screwdrivers until it came out.

At there really doesn't seem to be any reason for it to be that tight, I dremel'd out the hole a little so the new one will be easier to remove.

If you're talking about the bit I think you are, it's splined and you need to punch it out. It can require a bit of brute force.
