I have a problem with my 306 1.6 lx year 2000.

The car will start fine in the cold and move away. when i come to a junction, go to put my foot on the accelerator the engine gives a little splutter and then cuts out. (it's not me stalling the car before anyone mentions that)

It then takes a good few tries and a lot of cursing to get it going again. This can be a pain when at a busy junction.

This problem occurs for the first 5 minutes of driving and when the engine is hot its fine.

The problem is none existent in the summer but has started to play up again now its getting colder.

The only way to avoid the problem is to keep the revs up when the clutch is in. (not ideal i know)

Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.
