The Airbag light is on because there is a fault somewhere, the most common problem is a loose connection somewhere a popular one is under driver chair this may only apply to P3's though just make sure everything is plugged in and secure! if your not sure what your doing get it to someone who knows what there doing, as for the speedo this can happen for a couple of reasons they work by receiving a signal from your ecu mine went funny due to a break in a wire by the bottom of the bumper but commonly it's just the silver (metal fuse) under your steering column picking up static iirc just take it out give it a wipe and put it back ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

I have same problem, loose connection under the passenger chair in my ph3. Sometimes I can sort it, then if the chair is moved or sat in it can come on again. What I'm going to do is because I know its just a dodgy connection and the airbags should work fine, I'm going to take the bulb out from the airbag light in the dash. That will stop it going off I've been told it will still get through an MOT too ________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |

just fix it properly, it'll take less time than taking the dash apart.you'll get a new username with that attitude, jammabodgermayhew ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I have enough nicknames already, you think I care? lolI thought it would be easier taking dash out than it is the chair as I'm looking to upgrade the dials with some white bulbs instead of the yellow older bulbs. ________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |

there's also the issue of if your Airbag system develops a serious issue that may stop your airbag from working and you'd never know about it!at the end of the day it's there for your safety just sort it properly it's the best way ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

I suppose I could work on my soldering, last time wasn't very good so a bit of practise on a single wire shouldn't be a problem. lol________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |

Also sorted mine out just this minute, took me 2 mins. I just removed the yellow plastic block bit and just connected the wires again and they are firm enough so didn't need the solder out ________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |

You've removed the connectors and just intertwined the wires together? Similar to this. If so at least get some electrical insulation tape around them. ________________________________________ Black X Reg PIII.VGTi 6 A4212 pt 1 A4212 pt 2 Searching the streets of Bristol for 1.36p/day.Joint Kent Leader |

Basically theres a female yellow block holding one wire with a female end connected that is stuck to the chair, I've left that how it is. Then there was a male yellow block that clicks into place in the yellow block which had the other wire with male end bit. I have removed the male yellow block only. The wire still connects to eachother securely, and theres now just the 1 female yellow block that gives them a bit of protection and keeps them securely stuck to the chair (not hanging). Hope this explains it a bit better, not sure if ph3 have differenct connections under the chair to others but dont have any pics The yellow blocks are similar to the ones found that connect the front door speakers. The wires look similar to this but with just the female block around them ________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |
