my boot squeeks on my phase 2 gti 6? have checked everything ie, parcel shelf rear seats spare wheel cage and found that when i drive with the boot open the squeek goes away. so it is the boot thats causing it any one no how to stop this and if its a common problem with this model.cheers ________________________________________ "if in doubt flat out"Breaking 206 gti |

This happened in my old XSi, drove me nuts trying to find what it was.Its where the boot clasp goes into the lock, the little plastic surround is worn and rubbing metal on metal.... Short term solution is wrapping sellotape around it. Hope this makes sense. Scott |
