Nice colour Yes Should have P3'd it while you had it in the bodyshop though Yes Shame it will probably get quite chipped as a track car Doh

Whats the score with the stereo system by the way, i cant see that working very weel, wood eill flex witht speaker movement and the sound must be very tinny with no interior. Better off just using a decent set of fronts i would have thought Unsure?

rallyestyle - Honestlty it sounds as good as when the interior was in, my mate owns an audio shop and he did't belive it would work but was absolutly shocked once he heard it...... IT REALLY DOES WORK, and its not tinny at all..... beats me but it works... LOL was origionally going too fix the wood to where the rear seats where and it would use that little dip as a bass enclosure but that sounded tinny and horrible, we lifted the wood up to look underneath and it sounded amazing using the whole back of the car as a bass box... stumbled accross it by chance, and its leight Ninja

ryangti6 - at some angles when you take a pic it looks lighter but its not... its strange

mabgti - pm'd re exhaust - the bonnet came off of my 1.6 meridian as it was in better nick, i swear its branded by pug though, ill check, pretty sure its genuine

Cheers all

Seb

Ok so i havn't updated this for a little while..
to be honest ive been enjoying the new changes too much!

I left of needing to strip the rest of the interior, fit the buckets and a brand new driveshaft.. so Me and Marc set of too Carl's to all get started.

1st out with the standard seats

2nd out with the carpets.

weight saved plus seats..

silly picture of Marc

3rd fitting the buckets...
to do this we measured and cut some angle iron to weld between the sill and the exhaust tunnel

welder ready

4th BUCKETS IN!!

The car is now AMAZING!! the difference in accelleration and handleing due to weight loss and mounting the seats with a really low centre of gravity is huge!
it picks up through the revs so much quicker and is completely planted..... ILOVE IT!!

OK..... as Carl has said i have fully rebuilt the rear beam and when i painted it in hammerite, i decided to do it blue.... as there was blue on the shelf i thought why not.... No ones ever gonna see it anyway and its different plus matches the car..... so ill put some pics up and await the comments of dislike..

A few pics after it had been pulled apart, new bairings put in and painted... still wet in first 2 pics as you can see.

I like this thread alot, not really a fan of 6' in non Model colours such as this but I have to say it suits it! Its the first 306 in any colour with black cyclones that I have actually liked. Lowering made all the difference. Cool

..I spy a dent Whistle
Thumbs up

Yea I know Wink
I know two woman that have had a GTi180 in that colour, after I bought my Diablo I could not imagine a 6 being any other colour than the actual model specific colous...Blaze, Astor, China, Diablo, Nile etc never really thought about Aegean blue till I saw this Thread but now Im a bit more open minded Happy

TBs mate the noise alone will out weigh a supercharger Big grin

Go for a proper set of cams,(not pt81s) head work, pistons, rods, steel crank, lightened and balanced with light flywheel and crank pulley.

Add a set of jenvey 48s some management + live mapping

Finish it off with a nice full race manifold and system from maniflow then you will easily see 240bhp +

Once all that is taken care of you might need to think about a different gear box - I used a peugeot boutique tarmac box from France - loved it

Cool

looks good in some pics, terrible in other imo.

The board your using for your speakers and amp is woeful, you will lose so much quality thru flimsy sheet it's scary, beef that up to around the 18/22mm mdf mark and it'll improve it no end!
