right i`ve wired 2 stereos into my car 1 cd mp3 etc and a dvd unit, took the power from the cars loom and split to power both stereos but put them on switches so i can choose witch stereo to use , but heres the problem i need both stereos on to get any sound :

bit of info on how i`ve wired the speakers up took both sets from both looms stereo side and connected them together and then connected both sets to the car speakers

any help please

get an rca-switch, 2inputs, 1output (selectable), fixed


only possible if you're running amps that is!
forget about it if you are using the HU's to power the speakers


*also: separate both stereo looms and give each HU a decent, fused and separate power feed, before we get a 'my 6 burnt to a crisp'-thread
