Hi there, i notice the other day that my heating fans were not working!! on inspection i found that one of the fuses had blown. i replaced the fuse and it went str8 away.. i then put a bigger fuse in to see what would happen and the fan starts to work put ive got no control of it with the controls (justs keeps blowing) then on the back of the controls i noticed that the connections were getting very hot and were starting to melt and smoke!!! i then disconnected the controls and tryed again. the fan still runs at the same slow speed.. i really not sure what it could be.. any ideas would be really helpful

Many thanks

Its a little resistor in the heater control unit. Normally if your careful you can replace it but as you tried to bodge it with a larger fuse sounds to me like you need a new unit.

no worries mate there are a load of cars being broken so have a look in the parts for sale and you should be able to pick one up. i think there is even an FAQ on replacing it.
