hi all my engine on the 6 looks really gubby is it safe to have the engine steam cleaned?

yep absolutely fine. i have done mine numerous times. leave the engine running whilst you do it and just copver the ECU if you are massively worried. i do mine with a light coating of TFR left for a minute and then just steam clean all over. done it on both 306's and the only issue i had was water drops in the plug for the temp sensor ECU plug so cleaned the water from it and it's all good ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |
