Hi,was wondering if any of you have come across this problem, i have just fitted new clutch to my 6 so i obviously had to disconnect the battery therefore losing the ecu's self learned map. anyway when i reconnected and started her up the idle is at nearly 2000rpm, now this has mostly disappeared i have encountered a new problem, whenever i boot it and lift off, the revs 'hang on' then gradually settle down.
I have checked all the obvious ie, vacuum leaks etc etc, i don't want to keep disconnecting battery to reset ecu.

Any thoughts welcome, cheers

Check the throttle position sensor is plugged in and the wiring is not damaged.
