I would like to know the differences between the XU10J4RS Gti-6 engine and the cabriolet XU10J4R engine.
and is it possible to fit the gti-6 gearbox onto my engine?
and what is the rev/speed ratio in 6th gear?

haven't been able to find it out.
If anybody could help, I would really apreciate it

There are a lot of subtle differences between them. The head for example is more flowed, I believe the oil spray bars are different as well for example. Obviously in cams, inlet and exhaust manifolds are completely different.

Gearbox will fit, but u will need to change the gear linkages and cable for reverse gear. You will also need to fit the gti6 steering ram as the the N/S wheel will rub on the gearbox on full lock

I don't think you'll get better economy as 6th will probably be very similar to your 5th gear.

6th in a gti6/rallye is nearly the same as 5th in an xsi Yes the 6gears just gives you more options to keep the car in the higher power band for longer.
