I've been assured it's an M16. Not verified as I haven't actually fitted by new one yet, but I have no reason to believe otherwise. Insert obvious dig about using the search button here. I wouldn't bother with the Halfords ones, they are a bit too big - I've always gotten mine chucked in free with the filter from Pug But, looking on servicebox it's listed as a 14mm X 21mm 2mm thick copper crush washer ________________________________________ Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch....Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Ok great thanks for that.I have had water in one of my bores and now i have a recon head fitted im changing the oil 3 times before i put good stuff in. I'm not fitting new oil filters when i change the oil, else it will cost too much for what i need to do to get rid of any water left in the system. I will fit a new oil filter when i put the good oil in. 'ps, ADSA sell semi 10/40w 5 litres for £10 peeps'. Cheers. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. Open side goes against the sump. The rubber seal inside the gap forms a seal when you tighten the sump plug ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 |

I dont think it makes any difference because its the edges of the washer that stops the oil dripping out, not so much the top or bottom part imo.I did the oil change tonight but i left the old copper washer in the garage so ill post the size tomorrow, cheers. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. O. No, the engine sump is M14 as said above. The gearbox drain plug is M16. ________________________________________ Rich |
